Sukkot

Tonight is the beginning of Sukkot and this holiday teaches us that joy is not about waiting for life to become perfect. We sit in a temporary sukkah exposed to the weather, aware of uncertainty yet we call it Zman Simchateinu, the season of our joy. That is a powerful message.

We often tell ourselves we will be happy when the next deal closes, the problem is resolved, or life finally feels secure. But Sukkot asks us to recognize the blessings already in front of us: family, friends, health, clients, community and the ability to begin again.

The sukkah reminds us that the strongest things in life are not always physical or permanent. True joy comes from gratitude, faith and sharing what we have with others.

Let’s open our sukkah, our table, and our hearts and find joy not despite life’s uncertainty, but within it.
