Candle Lighting: 6:41 PM EST Montreal - Tzedakah (Charity) and Mitzvah (Good Deed) Reminder
Sunday night is Yom Kippur and is often called the Day of Awe, but beneath its solemnity lies one of Judaism’s most hopeful messages…we are never beyond renewal. We step away from phones, food, drink and the comforts of our physical world not to deny life, but to remember that we are more than our daily appetites, pressures and mistakes. For one day, we try to hear the voice of our soul more clearly. And as we repeat the sacred words of divine compassion, we are reminded that forgiveness is not only something we ask for, but also something we are called to offer.
Wishing you and your loved ones a meaningful Yom Kippur, an easy fast and a year filled with health, peace, forgiveness and renewed purpose.
